Healing little hearts in The Philippines: Manila
The Rotary Club of Makati West Gift of Life Program is truly answering the prayers of Filipino parents who have children with heart disease. They have formed partnerships with local hospitals, NGOs and government agencies to maximize their efforts. During the 2020-2021 global pandemic, Makati West Rotarians partnered with Cebu Rotarians to provide care to additional children in need of cardiac interventions from Cebu and the surrounding region. Rotary Global Grants and HeartGift are the major funding sources for our work in Manila which now regularly provides care to over 700 children per year.
