Healing little hearts in The Philippines: Cebu
Gift of Life International receives more requests for help from parents of children with heart disease in The Philippines than in any other country around the world. In our effort to respond to the tremendous need, we have partnered with the Rotary Club of Cebu to provide reliable and sustainable care to children of the region surrounding Cebu. Over the past 6 years, more than 500 Filipino children from this region have been treated for their heart ailments. We have been fortunate to access Rotary Global Grants to help fund the care of these children as well as generous yearly donations from The HeartGift Foundation. The local NGO Let It Echo provides logistical and emotional support to the families in Cebu to whom we provide care.
