Honduras became Gift of Life International’s newest Core Program in 2022. We now conduct 3-4 training visits to San Pedro Sula, Honduras each year.

Our Salvadoran team (from our El Salvador Legacy Program) leads these training visits to San Pedro Sula, joined by teams coordinated by HeartGift and Gift of Life International.
Our global network of partners made this incredible milestone of 100 pediatric cardiac surgeries possible through their devotion and support, including HeartGift (our predominant sponsor for visits to Honduras) the Rotary Club of Ulua, the Honduran Social Security Institute, and fellow nonprofits like Infancia Solidaria and Mensajero de La Paz.

In the coming year, we aim to treat 60 children in our Honduras program while empowering the local medical team to eventually care for children in their country reliably and independently.
