Healing little hearts in Guyana
Our work in Guyana is unique. Our efforts there are predominantly funded by the Guyanese Government, with additional funding coming from like-minded partner Herz Bewegt. The training visits we conduct 2 or 3 times per year focus on empowering the local team to provide intensive care to the children we treat and developing a pediatric cardiac surgical team. The work we began in 2023 has allowed the Government to begin addressing their pediatric cardiac crisis and become an option to other countries in the region.
