Gift of Life International

In 2020, we began a new partnership with CEDIMAT Hospital in Santo Domingo with the hope of developing a reliable treatment option for Dominican children with heart disease. Over the past 5 years, we have successfully conducted 16 training visits to CEDIMAT. During these visits, over 300 children have been treated. We look forward to healing more Dominican hearts in 2026.  Our previous partnership with Hospital Infantil Dr. Robert Reid Cabral provided hope to more than 186 children in need between 2014 and 2019. We are grateful for the dedication and support of Gift of Life Rotary District 7980, the Rotary Club of Santo Domingo, The Rotary Foundation and the many Gift of Life affiliates who have helped to fund the Rotary Global Grants which have supported this program.  As we begin our work in 2026, we see a new strategy in funding our visits to CEDIMAT.  Our like-minded partners Herz Bewegt,  Latiendo por Ti, The David Ortiz Foundation, The Rotary Club of Santo Domingo and CEDIMAT Hospital are now contributing to the sponsorship of our training visits.
