Jounaid was born on March 25, 2026 in Akkar, in northern Lebanon.

He lives with his mother, father, and two siblings. His father works in metal cutting and scrap iron breaking, earning a daily wage for his work while his mother stays at home. Jounaid’s siblings attend public school in his hometown.
Shortly after he was born, doctors diagnosed Jounaid with aortic stenosis. Aortic stenosis is when the aortic valve narrows, causing restricted blood flow to the body. It also causes the heart to have to pump harder in order for blood to reach the body, which can lead to heart failure if left untreated.
Jounaid received treatment for his congenital heart disease on May 8th, 2026 thanks to funding from our heart healing partner, HeartGift. His catheterization was done at Hammoud Hospital in southern Lebanon, which is two hours and forty five minutes from his hometown.

The travel was worth it, and thanks to this procedure, Jounaid will be able to live the life of a healthy, happy, normal child!
