Meet Genesis from El Salvador! At just two years old, Genesis is already showing incredible strength.

Genesis lives with her family in Nuevo Cuscatlán, El Salvador, where she fills her days with joy, play, and curiosity. Her loved ones describe her as a happy little girl. She loves to play, paint, and watch La Vaca Lola (Lola the Cow). As happy as she is, behind her bright smile, Genesis faced a serious challenge.
Genesis was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at birth. Tetralogy of Fallot is a heart condition that affects normal blood flow through the heart. Her family learned about her diagnosis early in her life and spent every day hoping for the care she desperately needs.
Unfortunately, because of her condition, Genesis became sick easily. Her health complications previously forced the cancellation of a planned surgery, delaying the life-changing care she urgently needed. Despite these setbacks, Genesis and her family remained hopeful.
Genesis’ mother dreamt of the day her daughter could grow stronger and healthier. With the right heart healing care, Genesis could experience the healthy life every child deserves.
In May of 2026, Genesis finally got her chance at a healed heart! At Benjamin Bloom Hospital in San Salvador, El Salvador, doctors performed surgery on Genesis to heal her congenital heart disease, Tetralogy of Fallot. Now, Genesis can continue to play and paint without the fear of becoming ill or short of breath. Genesis can now live out her childhood happily and healthily!
